New beginnings.....

After working for the same company for the past 8+ years I have a new job in a new field....and I start monday!
I have frantically been shopping for work appropriate clothes as I have lived in a uniform (I worked in a psychiatric hospital) for the past 8 years or so!... After spending hours unsure as to what would be considered too "fashion" etc I have simply gone for suits and shirts...More uniform!! Sigh.....how do you find a happy medium? Trying to inject some personality I have purchased some beautiful handbags, and silk scraves by Oscar de la renta, Valentino etc so I have a bit of "me" in my new ensemble but it's just not quite right yet....
Not helping is the fact that I really need to get back on a diet after putting on a shedload post surgery :-( sigh...hints and tips please.....and "step away fromt he chocolate" doesn't help :-0
